Selling vehicles and parts in Poland: the market, the rules and the trade fairs

Poland registered 600,504 new cars in 2025, about twice as many as it built, and imported 40.3 billion euros of vehicles and parts. In Turkish statistics, motor vehicles are Türkiye's largest export to Poland; in Polish records, Türkiye ranks third in buses, suspension parts and road wheels. Vehicles and many parts need EU type approval, and Euro 7 applies to new car types from 29 November 2026. Parts makers meet buyers at TTM in Poznań and at the Ptak parts fairs near Warsaw.

The Polish automotive market in figures

The automotive industry is Poland's second-largest sector by turnover, and Poland is the world's seventh-largest exporter of vehicle parts, at 17.5 billion euros in 2024 (PAIH). Motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers made up 11.5% of Poland's industrial sales in 2025. Output fell 0.7% at constant prices: Polish plants built 291,888 passenger cars (7.3% fewer than in 2024) but 26% more tyres and 10% more starter batteries (GUS).

Demand is growing faster than production. Poland registered 600,504 new passenger cars in 2025, up from 554,248 in 2024 (Eurostat), and imported more vehicles than it exported. Germany supplied 34% of Poland's imports of vehicles and parts, ahead of Czechia, Belgium, France and China, and 41% of its parts imports, ahead of Italy and China (Eurostat); for goods arriving from another EU country, Eurostat records the country they were shipped from (Eurostat). Poland's imports in 2025 (Eurostat):

Product group (HS code)Polish imports in 2025 (million euros)Change on 2024
All vehicles and parts (87)40,312+8%
Passenger cars (8703)18,627+7%
Parts and accessories (8708)11,161−2%
Batteries and accumulators (8507)2,350−6%
New tyres (4011)1,995+2%

Poland exports more parts than it imports: 17.9 billion euros against 11.2 billion in 2025 (Eurostat). The Turkish Ministry of Trade expects Polish demand for automation, spare parts and intermediate goods to grow (Ministry of Trade).

Where Turkish vehicles and parts stand in Poland

In Turkish statistics, motor vehicles are Türkiye's largest export group to Poland: 1,603 million US dollars in 2025. Passenger cars came to 883 million US dollars (down 10.8%), parts to 431 million (up 11.9%), buses to 146 million (up 16.3%) and tractors to 99 million (Ministry of Trade); in Polish import records, almost all of these tractors are road tractors for semi-trailers (Eurostat). Trade runs both ways: Türkiye bought 513 million US dollars of parts, 471 million of goods vehicles and 375 million of cars from Poland in 2025 (Ministry of Trade).

Polish import records show where Turkish suppliers stand (Eurostat):

Product (HS code)Türkiye's share of Polish imports, 2025Türkiye's rank among suppliers
Buses (8702)15.4%3rd
Suspension systems and shock absorbers (870880)9.5%3rd
Road wheels (870870)8.3%3rd
Road tractors for semi-trailers (870121)4.4%5th
Parts and accessories (8708)3.1%7th
Trailers (8716)2.6%8th
Ignition and starting equipment (8511)2.7%8th
New tyres (4011)2.7%14th
All vehicles and parts (87)1.5%15th
Passenger cars (8703)0.5%19th

Parts are the growing line: Polish imports of Turkish vehicle parts rose 11.4% in 2025, to 346.7 million euros, and Türkiye moved from tenth place among parts suppliers in 2023 to seventh. Suspension parts alone grew from 81.9 to 111.3 million euros (Eurostat).

For cars the two series differ widely: Turkish export data give 883 million US dollars for 2025, Polish import records 91.5 million euros. Polish records list goods arriving from another EU country under the country they were shipped from (Eurostat), but we found no official source that says how much of the gap that explains. We name the series each time.

The automotive fairs that matter

Most of Poland's automotive fairs are in Poznań and at Ptak Warsaw Expo near Warsaw; others are held at EXPO XXI in Warsaw, in Kielce and in Gdańsk. Audited figures come from the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry (PIPT); the others are the organisers' own (TTM, Warsaw Motor Show, TransLogistica).

TTM, the trade fair for parts and workshop equipment, is held every two years alongside the Poznań Motor Show; there is no edition in 2027. Ptak also holds the Warsaw Motorcycle Show (2–4 April 2027) and smaller fairs for fleets, e-mobility, tuning and trucks (Ptak Warsaw Expo).

For Turkish companies, TTM's 2026 edition was on the Ministry of Trade's 2026 lists for both national group stands and individual stands, and TRANSEXPO, the public-transport fair in Kielce, was on the 2026 list for individual stands; no Ptak automotive fair was on the 2025 or 2026 lists (Ministry of Trade). The 2027 lists had not been published by October 2026; see our guide to Ministry of Trade support for fairs in Poland. More automotive fairs, with their dates, are on our automotive fairs page.

Who you meet at these fairs

  • TTM: more than 11,500 automotive professionals in 2026, at a fair that presents workshop and service-station equipment, tools, car-wash and filling-station technology, body and chassis parts, tyres and fluids (Grupa MTP, Grupa MTP).
  • Poznań Motor Show and Warsaw Motor Show: mostly the public. UFI classes the Poznań Motor Show as a public fair (UFI), and both shows present cars, electromobility and tuning, with motorcycles and campers in Poznań (Grupa MTP, Ptak Warsaw Expo).
  • Automotive Parts Expo and Autotechnika Expo: spare parts, batteries, LPG systems, air conditioning, lighting, diagnostics and workshop equipment, for the parts trade and workshops (Ptak Warsaw Expo, Ptak Warsaw Expo).
  • TransLogistica Poland: fleet owners, carriers and logistics firms (TransLogistica).

Parts makers reach trade buyers at TTM and the Ptak parts fairs rather than at the motor shows, which mainly attract the public. Bus and trailer makers should look at Warsaw Bus Expo, TransLogistica and TRANSEXPO in Kielce.
